Broker education hits the road

ON THE ROAD AGAIN. That popular Willie Nelson ditty will be the theme song for several instructors from The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. in 2007.

The Hartford's Vault program is a series of three-and-a-half day workshops across the country that allows brokers to earn continuing education credits toward their life and health licenses in most states. It covers group short- and long-term disability insurance contracts, benefits, underwriting, and pricing.

Vault program participants will receive instruction in how to:

  • Identify trends affecting clients' productivity and risk profile and come up with appropriate plan designs.
  • Diagnose and serve clients' group DI needs.
  • Understand complicated contract language, benefits, underwriting and pricing levers, and claims and service considerations.

The Hartford will visit Maitland, Fla.; Palm Springs, Calif.; Avon, Conn.; Philadelphia; Cincinnati; and Chicago. For more information, visit www.thehartford.com/vault.
