The Consumer Federation of America recently praised Worldwide Benefit Services LLC for its ID Theft Assist program in the Identity Theft Service Study. The study highlights ID Theft Assist's emphasis on restoration services and clear communication to consumers.
"WBS prides itself on creating products that the consumer can easily understand and we feel the ID Theft Assist program does that," said Gregg Brooks, a principal with WBS.
CFA also made suggestions regarding clarifications to the program's credit monitoring benefit.
"We have already addressed making it clearer for the consumer on the product web site as we felt that the CFA report is truly the first unbiased study of the ID theft service industry and we want to take their feedback to heart. We feel that ID Theft Assist is the most comprehensive service in our industry so we have no problem in being very honest in what we promise our clients," said Brooks.
