NEW YORK -- The Guardian Life Insurance Co. of America announced Tracy L. Rich will join the company as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, effective July 1.

Rich's legal career spans more than 30 years and includes work in both the public and private sectors. He held General Counsel roles both at Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. and Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Co. Additionally, he worked with a major law firm in Hartford, Conn., and in New York as a trial attorney for the Internal Revenue Service.
