Insurance producers' business preferences

  • 92 percent of captive insurance agents are concerned about their company's brand, compared with 78 percent of independent agents.
  • Over three-quarters of independent agents rate marketing assistance as important when deciding which products to sell, compared with 68 percent of captive agents.
  • Although all producers rate cash and commissions as their greatest incentive, trips and conferences are more popular with captive agents (38 percent) than independents (27 percent).
