TheRegistry provides a secure database service designed to supportfiduciaries and custodians holding retirement benefits that havebeen left in the plan, unclaimed by missing former participants, orhave been set up as a Default IRA.

The service is free to use for fiduciaries or the institutionwishing to register the former participant and for the participantthat is trying to locate their unclaimed funds. It is a securewebsite designed to help both employers and former employees.Employers can register names for free of former employees who haveleft money in the plan or who have had a Default IRA established ontheir behalf. Former employees can perform a free, secure search todetermine if they are entitled to any unpaid retirement accountmoney.

The site is a great aid to fiduciaries looking to meet theirobligation to see that all unclaimed benefits are paid to formerparticipants.
