As the economy continues to recover and health care reform brings uncertainty, one fact is clear: today's benefits aren't your father's benefits. The benefits landscape is evolving, especially in the voluntary arena. Voluntary benefits are no longer a "nice to have;" now they are a must-have. Employers are more receptive than ever to adding voluntary benefits, because they can provide positive, tangible, and immediate benefits accessible to all employees. Nearly 81% of U.S. companies are offering voluntary benefits, and 49% plan to add new voluntary benefits in the next year.
