BOSTON (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney says the Obama administration is smothering "small-town dreams."

In remarks prepared for delivery before he begins a six-state bus tour Friday, Romney says President Barack Obama isn't giving middle-class America "a fair shot." Romney also promises that "America's greatest days are ahead."

Romney was setting out on the bus tour from the same New Hampshire farm where he launched his presidential bid almost a year ago. Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa and Michigan are the other states on the tour.

In the speech excerpts released by his campaign, Romney promises to scrap Obama's health care law, approve the Keystone XL oil pipeline from Canada and go after China for its trade policies.
