Sixty-three percent of human resources managers use video interviews, a jump from 14 percent last year, according to a new survey by Office Team, a staffing service specializing in placing highly skilled administrative professionals.

Another 13 percent of respondents expect to use video interviews more frequently over the next three years, and 85 percent of respondents believe video interviews will remain at the same level. While 53 percent of respondents report using video interviews often, 25 percent of respondents say they never use video interviews.

"Many companies are embracing video interviews, which are often conducted online via webcam, as a way to quickly and cost-effectively evaluate applicants," says Robert Hosking, executive director of OfficeTeam. "Job seekers can use these virtual meetings to put their best foot forward, just as they would in person."
