Employees are expressing confidence regarding the economy, their employers and the overall work force, according to the Randstad Employee Confidence Index.
When it comes to the strength of the economy and availability of jobs, the outlook on macroeconomic conditions hit 46.8 points, a major increase from 20.9 points in April 2008.
This marks a post-recession high.
Overall, the Employee Confidence Index also reached pre-recession levels at 57 points, which last occurred in August 2007. The Employee Confidence Index has been steadily rising this year. It hit 53.9 in March, 53.5 in February and 52.1 in January.
