Other notable differences include Humana’s extreme increase intotal enrollment: a jump from 4.4 million enrollees in 2013 to 16.6million in 2014. This may help explain the company’s sharp increaseof $27.3 million in net premiums written year over year. On thelife side, Prudential fell in the net premiums written category, down almost 34 percent from 2013 to 2014. AEGON, on the other hand, appeared at the No. 16 spot in last year’s ranking of net premiumswritten for accident and health, but broke into the top 10 thisyear, with $1.9 million in NPW.
