When I decided to leave corporate America and join my father inbusiness, it was out of a desire to positively influence the livesin my community, both through retirement planning and thephilanthropic opportunities that came along with my involvement inthe industry.

My career goal has always been to protect my clients so thatwhen and if an obstacle arises in their lives, their lifestyle doesnot change. My biggest accomplishment in this regard came when Iwas referred to a gentleman with Parkinson's Disease. By the time Icame to know my client, he had already advanced into his diseaseand was hoping to find a way to make his money last through thelong-term care he would need in the years to come. After years ofproviding for his family, my client was left with a modest pension.Finding contracts for a plan can be difficult when a client has apre-existing condition; however I was able to find such a contractand present the client and his family with a finalized plan. I amproud to say that this plan has been implemented, and that myclient continues to have the funds necessary to facilitate his careand lifestyle. “

“I have so much to celebrate this year!  I began mycareer in the financial services industry in the 90s and served as one of veryfew female executives at my firm.  I was often the onlywomen at the table.  While I truly enjoyed my role andworking with bright, inspiring colleagues, the constant travel andrigors of the job left little time for the most important part ofmy life: raising my family.  After much soul searching, Ibecame an entrepreneur so I could have flexibility, which was notoffered on Wall Street at that time.   This pastyear, I was inspired to relaunch my financial servicescareer.  I was fortunately connected to a forward-thinkingfemale executive, and a company that hopes to change the narrativebetween women and the financial services industry.  I amso proud to be a part of a creative, start-up company, myWorth LLC,powered by Penn Mutual.   myWorth has given methe ability to use my financial services background, along with myentrepreneurial spirit, to help women take control of theirfinancial futures. This mission is perfect for the “second act” ofmy career as I am passionate about helping women feel confident andsecure about their financial wellness.  It was a pleasureto meet so many amazing women at the WIFS conference who share thissame passion!”
