Apples and oranges delivered to the break room to meet employee wellness benchmarks. Huh? Only “highest-risk” employees receive support for nutrition habit change. Double huh?

Otherwise astute businesses have a lumbering feel about them when it comes to a key expense: employee wellness. This is surprising given that statistics highlight how overweight conditions are the kingpin behind significant costs, such as for medical care. Extra pounds also are the primary culprit fostering presenteeism, absenteeism, poor morale and lethargic innovation — all increasingly measured and budget-worthy migraines.
