COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — A panel reviewing high-deductible health insurance policies for a proposed South Carolina health care exchange is planning to meet.

The panel meeting Monday is part of the South Carolina Health Planning Committee that Gov. Nikki Haley established earlier this year.

It will make policy recommendations about whether it is feasible for the state to create its own health exchange under federal health care laws.

If the committee recommends against creating a state-run exchange, it will suggest alternate strategies in a report due on Oct. 28.
