THE HARTFORD FINANCIAL GROUP launched a national partnership with MD Group Insurance, a national benefits consultant, to provide specialized group disability, life and accident insurance to physician groups.
Under the partnership, MD will provide an array of services, including support for The Hartford's sales representatives with marketplace comparisons, training, producer forums and competitive benchmarking.
The Hartford offers group long- and short-term disability contracts; enhanced group life and accident insurance products; specialized underwriting; claims and customer service teams; easy-to-use tools to help employers and employees manage benefits.
"The Hartford also worked with producers to develop a comprehensive, innovative package of features that squarely meets the unique needs of physicians and their businesses," says Ron Gendreau, senior vice president of The Hartford's group benefits division.
