From an American worker's perspective, there's some comfort that Apple and Amazon are considering additional campuses in the U.S. But nobody should expect this to be a permanent state of affairs.
For midlife millennials in the year 2020, flexible work arrangements and remote work -- the kinds of work IBM is abandoning -- are what workers will want.
A radical, though maybe not totally ideal, solution for how millennials can use remote work, relocation, and the breadwinner/house spouse model to transform family life.
The Rust Belt was hurt from losing jobs, but low population growth has played a big role too -- people would rather relocate or retire in the south and west. What will Trump do about that?
