Impact of long-term carePrimary caregivers to loved ones had to work fewer hours (44 percent), lost a job, changed shifts, and/or missed career opportunities (48 percent) and incurred repeated absences from work (38 percent). Secondary caregivers often had similar experiences–29 percent, 42 percent and 33 percent respectively.
