President Barack Obama plans to drop his proposal to reduce cost-of-living adjustments for Social Security and other benefit programs in the budget his administration releases March 4 for the 2015 fiscal year.
President Barack Obama said neither he nor members of his administration anticipated the magnitude of the flaws that hobbled the startup of the federal health-care website.
More than 300 companies, including 80 of the nations largest businesses, have signed a White House pledge to develop initiatives for hiring and recruiting the long-term unemployed.
The president said hes setting aside $500 million for community colleges, rewarding them for creating the best job-driven training partnerships with employers and industry.
President Barack Obama will raise the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour for federal contractors hired in the future, an initiative to be unveiled tonight in his State of the Union address.
