Wellness benefits in the workplace are no longer a perk, but rather a strategic business imperative linked to higher rates of employee performance, retention and engagement according to LifeSpeak’s 2025 Workplace Wellness Report.

LifeSpeak, a digital wellbeing provider that caters to employers, health plans and other organizations enables whole-person wellness across mental, physical and family wellbeing with a proactive and personalized approach. Services such as these are addressing a gap between what benefits organizations offer and what employees actually use.

According to the report, 92% of members said access to services offered by LifeSpeak makes them more likely to stay with their employer, while 99% of users said the services help them function better at work and at home, highlighting the strong link between comprehensive support and positive day-to-day employee experience.

“Wellness is evolving from a checkbox exercise to a business critical function,” said Jason Campana, CEO at LifeSpeak. “Our workplace Wellness Report confirms that when employees prioritize personalized, outcomes-driven wellness strategies for their employees, the payoff is real – for both the individual workers and the organization as a whole.”

The report found that the benefits of preventative care build over time and drive real cost savings for organizations and employees when it’s early, personalized and evidence-based. According to the data, 90.5% of members reported fewer visits to doctors or mental health professionals, reducing the burden on health care systems and lowering downstream costs for employers.

As the report points out, today’s employees are under pressure, as are the organizations that support them. As health care costs rise and employee expectations continue to rise, effective wellness solutions are more critical than ever.
