CVS Health announced a partnership with Google Cloud to launch Health100, an AI-native consumer engagement platform designed to provide a connected, proactive and personalized health care experience.
Operating as a health technology services subsidiary of CVS Health, the initiative will deliver an integrated platform that leverages agentic artificial intelligence to enable consumers to engage seamlessly with pharmacies, care providers, insurers, pharmacy benefits managers and digital health tools. CVS said the benefits of Health100 will be wide-reaching, helping consumers take ownership of their health, receive proactive support, stay on track with preventive care, gain cost transparency, reduce out-of-pocket expenses and access pharmacist-led care management.
Health100 will be powered by Google Cloud technologies, including Gemini models for AI-driven insights, Cloud Healthcare API for secure data integration across providers and pharmacies, and BigQuery for real-time analytics. These tools enable personalized, proactive and data-informed care. Future integration with wearable devices will enable real-time, data-driven health support, allowing consumers to manage their health proactively, said CVS.
"Consumer engagement in their own health and care is the holy grail that will drive trust and much better health outcomes," said Tilak Mandadi, EVP, Ventures and chief experience and technology officer at CVS Health. "We are putting the consumer at the center to enable their health care partners to seamlessly connect with them as part of a fully integrated experience. Google Cloud and AI technologies are core to this platform, which is grounded in responsible AI principles."
Health100 emphasizes data governance, privacy and security. Google Cloud's infrastructure supports HIPAA compliance, and CVS Health maintains its own security and privacy controls. Google Cloud's responsible AI framework allows customers to tune AI models and review outputs to ensure accuracy and mitigate unvalidated content, keeping patient data protected while enabling advanced AI functionality, CVS said.
Health100 is part of a broader trend in AI-driven health care. Amazon, for instance, has deployed agentic AI at One Medical to manage patient logistics, including appointment scheduling, lab result interpretation and medication management. Amazon is using AI to automate insurance billing, assigning diagnosis and procedure codes to streamline claims processing and reduce errors.
Health100 is expected to launch this year with an open ecosystem approach, allowing other health innovators to build specialized applications on the platform.
