Many people are looking forward to retirement not as a time to kick back and relax, but as a time to indulge in all the recreational activities that were previously limited to weekends. We've looked at WalletHub's data from its list of best places to retire and pulled out the 10 cities that have the best activities score, the better to tempt you with places that might offer just what you're after. To compile its list, WalletHub graded 182 cities around the country on four main categories: affordability, activities, quality of life and health care. It used data from over 21 sources, including the U.S. Census Bureau, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Council for Community and Economic Research, Bureau of Labor Statistics, United States Environmental Protection Agency, Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, Genworth Financial and WalletHub research to come up with each category score, as well as the overall score for the city.
