DENVER — Sometimes it does seem as if common sense really isn't common at all. Guess it's no big mystery why Thomas Paine bombed in D.C. way back in the day.
Today's example? Group legal plans. As Congress kicks off its annual tax break giveaway — like some cheesy holiday furniture sale — it looks as if group legal may get another chance at earning equal footing in the benefits space with a tax break of their own. Which appears as likely as that wardrobe allowance I've been asking for.
See, despite the best efforts of a sometimes unpredictable Congress, the president has already rattled his veto saber. Why? Well, that old union buster George "Teddy" Bush is convinced its all part of some vast organized labor conspiracy. And the GOP thought Hillary was paranoid.
