Howard Knudsen has been appointed assistant vice president of technical operations at MassMutual. He will be responsible for managing reinsurance, and legal and compliance issues, as well as providing technical expertise to the department. Knudsen has more than 30 years of life underwriting and operational experience, and previously worked as director of technical underwriting at Hartford Life Insurance.
