Well, the president has wrapped up his first joint address to Congress. He took a lot of flack for his somber tone of the past few weeks. (And, honestly, who isn't now?)

But his tone of hope that carried him through an eternal campaign season actually shone through tonight. And while he maybe sounded a little too hopeful, it's not a criticism that can carry much weight tomorrow.
