- Nearly 40 percent of employers say they plan to increase hiring levels in the next 12 months; of those, 28 percent say they will put more emphasis on hiring workers who have four-year degrees.
- Only 25 percent of employers believe colleges and universities are adequately preparing students for "the demands of the global economy."
- Over 90 percent of employers say they are asking employees to take on more duties and to utilize a broader skill set at work.
