Approximately half of enrollees anticipate their health care costs to grow because of the health reform law, and those who use consumer-driven health plans and high-deductible health plans are more likely to expect cost hikes than traditional plan participants.

Fifty-nine percent of CDHP enrollees and 56 percent of HDHP enrollees predict rising costs while 50 percent of traditional plan enrollees expect cost growth. Sixteen to 19 percent of enrollees anticipate the same health care costs, and 5-8 percent expect lower health care costs. One-fifth to one-quarter of enrollees are unable to predict their expected health care costs.
