The site, launched last week, allows couples to buy insurance online while detialing a Murphy’s Law of wedding catastrophes and potential liability issues from those catastrophes. The catastrophes range from drunken guests getting in car accidents (and suing), to guests getting food poisoning at the reception (and suing), to issues such as cancellations and postponements (and suing).
The site also includes areas such as “What Could Go Wrong?” (which lists just about anything and everything that could go wrong at a wedding); and an overview on the need for wedding insurance, which provides the solution to those things that can go wrong. Also included on the site are articles based on real wedding-based scenarios that led to claims.
The average American wedding costs more than ever – upwards of $29,000, according to R.V. Nuccio and Associates. As such, wedding insurance is recommended by most wedding and event publications, and these days, is required by most event locations.
