|The Managed Care Executive Group, consisting of U.S. seniorhealth plan executives, polled its membership for the top 10 issuesimpacting this year’s plans. The issues were
|1) administrative mandates
|2) care management, data analytics and informatics
|3) health insurance exchanges and individual markets
|4) new provider payment and delivery systems
|5) “bend the cost” trends
|6) Medicare and Medicaid
|7) Health information exchanges and EMRs
|8) Consumers’ roles in healthcare modernization
|9) Reform uncertainties
|10) Payer/provider interoperability
|According to MCEG outgoing chairperson Alan Abramson, thisyear’s list is different from that in 2010. At that time, the listfocused on the role of government in health care.
