According to a new Aflac survey, 77 percent of employed adults say they would leave their current positions for entrepreneurship opportunities.

Determining one's own schedule, spending more time with friends and family, leaving behind office politics, and cutting a daily commute are some of the reasons respondents say they would consider entrepreneurship.

"This survey reaffirms that many Americans lack fulfillment and passion for their jobs, and struggle with work-life balance," says Tom Giddens, senior vice president, director of U.S. sales at Aflac. "With more than 72,000 entrepreneurs comprising our sales force, our organization believes strongly in workers' pursuit of a career that not only supports their livelihood but that also brings joy and satisfaction."

The survey also finds that 35 percent of respondents believe the U.S. work force's spirit is broken, and 69 percent say their pay is the primary reason for working.
