It won't be known until Monday whether the Supreme Court will dive into health reform issues in 2012.

According to SCOTUSblog, the court will issue its next round of orders on pending cases at 10 a.m. on Monday, and will give no opinions.

The nine Supreme Court justices met for a private conference Thursday to discuss, among other things, whether they'll take up one or more of the four pending cases challenging a core provision within the Affordable Care Act – the individual mandate.

They'll also need to decide whether to review constitutional questions from health refrom challengers on matters like the employer penalty and Medicaid Expansion.

Politico is reporting that a lawsuit brought by 26 states, led by Florida and the National Federation of Independent Business has the best shot at a Supreme Court review.

"The Justice Department has suggested the court take that case, more than half the states are on board and it combines the most prominent legal questions about the health legislation. The other cases have been brought by the Thomas More Law Center, Liberty University and Virginia," Jennifer Haberkorn for Politico writes.
