WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House says President Barack Obama was "pleased" by the presentation made by his solicitor general before the U.S. Supreme Court on the health care law.
White House press secretary Jay Carney says Obama was "pleased with the presentation and remains convinced" that the health care law is constitutional. Carney says after three days of oral arguments before the court, the White House remains focused on implementing the law.
The health care law faced skepticism from conservative justices that suggested the law's key provision requiring most Americans to obtain health insurance could be in jeopardy.
