The Financial Services Institute expanded its advocacy agenda to include retirement and tax issues. Robert Lewis has been hired as government affairs counsel for Tax & Retirement to pursue these issues for FSI's independent financial services firms, their affiliated financial advisors and their clients.

Lewis brings more than 10 years' experience in Washington, D.C. He spent four years working on Capitol Hill for U.S. Sen. Zell Miller, D-GA, on the Senate Banking Committee. After Miller's retirement, Lewis joined Financial Executives International as manager of Government Affairs, focusing on pension and retirement issues.
