NASCO celebrated 25 years in the health care industry. Formed through a partnership among several Blue Cross Blue Shield plans, NASCO provides information technology solutions designed to ensure that plan members' insurance claims are paid accurately and efficiently.
NASCO's integrated claims processing system has handled more than 1 billion claims for all lines of business: individual, state, local, small group, large group, government and national. NASCO processes claims on behalf of more than 16 million BCBS members. And by the year 2014, NASCO will be responsible for processing healthcare claims for roughly one in every 10 privately insured Americans.
In addition to celebrating its anniversary, NASCO ranked No. 7 in the Atlanta Journal Constitution's Top Workplaces of 2012 competition for midsize companies.
