Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America named Sean Hayward as a new senior director in the Actuarial department. In this role, Hayward will be responsible for developing all financial models for the company. He will report to the vice president of Actuarial Reporting and Analysis, John Esch.

Before joining Allianz Life, Hayward was an actuarial programmer with Toronto, Canada -based actuarial software developer GGY AXIS where he led the development of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles functionality along with developing specifications and programming complex functionality. Prior to that, he was vice president of Investments with Tetrem Capital Management of Winnipeg, leading quantitative research and developing the internal data warehouse used for all client statements and quantitative modeling. Hayward previously worked at Allianz Life in Financial Development and also spent time with Ameriprise Financial as a senior investment risk analyst. 

Hayward received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Manitoba studying actuarial math and finance. He also earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota in finance. Hayward is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Chartered Financial Analyst, and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
