It may be old news to people in the retirement industry, but for the common consumer, the new range of Department of Labor-mandated 401(k) fee disclosures will be a big change – one they may not be expecting, or have any ability to interpret and act upon.
The DOL's own effort at consumer education includes a new video that highlights some of the changes and the information to be included in the disclosures; DOL Secretary Hilda L. Solis also provides a video introduction to the issue on the DOL's website.
