Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America named Jesse Kling as senior director actuary for the Profitability Management department.

In this role, Kling will be responsible for advising the company's executive leadership team on actuarial issues while leading development and design of financial systems and analytical policies. Kling will lead product development, product management, risk management and financial development efforts. He reports to Ross Bowen, vice president of Profitability Management.

Kling began his career at Allianz Life in 2002 as an actuarial assistant where he managed the maintenance of the valuation system to estimate financial positions of the fixed annuity business, along with completing financial analysis for new products, regulations and accounting practices. He was responsible for communicating and advising senior and executive leadership on the monthly and quarterly financial results. In 2007, Kling earned a role as an actuary on the Profitability Management Team where he led junior actuaries in the management of new and in-force business profitability. He directed cross-company committee meetings with several divisions and developed a controlled environment for the testing of actuarial models while collaborating on product development.
