JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Gov. Rick Scott wants to double funding for Florida's "quick response" job training program.

Scott urged lawmakers to increase the program's annual budget to $12 million on Tuesday in Jacksonville, where he visited the headquarters of a recently merged grocery company.

Jacksonville-based Winn-Dixie last year combined with Bi-Lo, another chain headquartered in Greenville, S.C.
