Among the best cities for job seekers in the first quarter are Cape Coral-Fort Meyers, Fla.; Phoenix; Tucson, Ariz.; San Francisco; Salt Lake City; Austin, Texas; and El Paso, Texas, according to the Manpower Employment Outlook Survey.
Based on figures from EmploymentCrossing, 21,732 job openings are available in Cape Coral-Fort Meyers, and 17,850 jobs were added in the last 30 days. Phoenix has 21,998 jobs available while Tucson has 8,248 jobs open. Over the last 30 days, Phoenix jobs increased by 21,936, and Tuscon jobs grew by 8,220.
Meanwhile, 88,806 jobs are listed in San Francisco, according to numbers from Employment Crossing. San Francisco also added 70,267 jobs in the last 30 days. Salt Lake City has 14,353 jobs open as it gained 12,137 jobs in the last 30 days.

EmploymentCrossing also finds that 31,548 jobs are open in Austin, and 3,803 jobs are available in El Paso, which added 3,188 jobs in the last 30 days.
"The fact that the statistics of live job openings posted on our site within the last one month confirms the trends posted by the MEOS, goes to show that we are on the right track, and our researchers are not missing a single job out there," says Harrison Barnes, CEO of Employment Crossing. "2013 is going to be a slightly better year than the one just ended, and while the jobs might be returning slowly, region-wise, as rightly marked by MEOS, there is great disparity in economic recovery, and some states are clearly outstripping others, and positioning themselves as the best targets for skilled labor."
