Forty years after Roe v. Wade, most Americans say the landmark Supreme Court case establishing abortion rights should stand, according to a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll.

Seven in 10 adults believe the abortion rights ruling should remain, the highest level of support since the polls began tracking it in 1989.

Tuesday marks Roe's 40th anniversary.
