Virtual Management Systems, a benefits technology firm that supplies web portals for agents and insurance companies to provide to their employers, launched its Version 2.0 to agents, insurance carriers and employers.

The new version includes both an employee and employer portal,  providing unique capabilities for multiple communication channels and content management while supporting client retention and new business growth and  PPACA compliance.

"We had a number of goals when we first started our upgrade," said Butch Goette, president and founder of VMS.

Among them were using the most cost-effective technology and providing flexibility to users. Version 2.0 also expands capabilities to also accommodate the needs of insurance carriers, Goette said.

"The employee portal allows for posting an unlimited amount of company specific information, easily modified by the employer, agent or carrier, as desired," he said. "The employer portal provides on time and robust HR support services, greatly assisting employers as they deal with the myriad issues for which they are regularly confronted."
