Nearly 27,000 people managed to sign up for private health insurance through HealthCare.gov one month into enrollment.

HealthCare.gov processed 210,190 applications overall, including 183,396 who'll be eligible for Medicaid or other government programs, in addition to the 26,794 who enrolled in private "qualified health plan" coverage.

Overall, Americans filed a total of 846,184 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act exchange coverage applications. The applications include requests for coverage for a total of 1.5 million people.
