The EIN Finder allows you to find companies by Employee Identification Number (EIN), or else to search your market for businesses that have been assigned these numbers.

EIN Finder now includes not only business names and addresses but also many more business phone numbers. Other enhanced features include:

  • More names: EIN Finder can help you identify prime prospects among 4.9 million U.S. businesses, more than ever before.

  • Industry Codes: You can search for businesses in a particular industry.

  • Address Tracking: This feature will help you track businesses that have changed locations, by supplying both their old   and new addresses.

  • Using EIN Finder along with other databases on FreeERISA.com is a great way to build data-rich profiles of top prospecting targets in a given market, such as selected Zip codes.

  • Once you have found the EIN for a business, it's easier to look up other public filings from the same company, including Form 5500s and Top-Hat Plans.

In many cases, if you type the name and EIN number of a company into a Web search engine (e.g., Google), you can quickly access other information about the company, including perhaps a home page.

Keep in mind that the National "Do Not Call" Registry rules prohibit prospecting phone calls only to residences that have registered, not businesses. By definition, EIN numbers are assigned only to businesses. That's why many successful financial advisors are focusing on targeted lists of local business to find prospects and develop new clients who need services such as qualified retirement plans, executive bonus plans, split-dollar plans, and business succession planning. (Of course, you should study the National Do-Not-Call Registry's rules before conducting any phone prospecting program.)
