Nearly 7 million Americans are eligible to sign up for health coverage under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act before open enrollment begins in November, Enroll America said Wednesday.

The enrollment group — a nonprofit formed in 2011 to get the word out about PPACA — said 2.7 million currently uninsured consumers and an estimated 4 million who qualify for a special enrollment period because they have moved, gotten married, had children, lost insurance or become American citizens will be able to sign up before Nov. 15, the day the second Obamacare open enrollment begins.

"Even though millions of Americans got covered before open enrollment closed earlier this year, we're not resting on our laurels since seven million consumers might have the opportunity to get covered even now through a special enrollment period," said Enroll America President Anne Filipic. "This new report makes clear just how important it is to make sure uninsured consumers around the country know that if they experience a qualifying life event like moving, getting married, or losing their health coverage, they may be able to find quality, affordable insurance right away."
