The strength of connectors is that they know and keep in touch with many people. They're associated with getting things done, initiating action, empowering passion, thinking big, being constantly curious, inspiring innovation.

Over the years, my professional involvement in NAHU has introduced me to pockets of these movers and shakers from all over the country. That circle, full of talented people in various roles across the industry, have become my connectors. Over the years I've called upon them for help with negotiating employment contracts, with structuring strategies on how to land certain complex sales, and, within NAHU, the development and birth of the Vanguard Council.

The vision for the Vanguard Council stemmed from my own, and many others, experience with connecting through our membership and involvement with NAHU. What if we could expand that experience and create a community of innovative individuals who were always on top of what's new, the center of what's happening and were disseminating that information to the next wave of adopters? In today's rapidly changing environment, there's never enough time to do the research on your own about everything one needs to know to stay compliant, let alone try and grow business. How valuable would it be to be able to have a network of people in your industry, facing your same challenges that you could turn to and ask your questions and pick their brains?
