The Vanguard Council is a collective group of young innovators looking to lead the charge in the health care space. The change has happened, and the possibilities are endless for professionals in our industry. The masses are confused by the change, and they're looking for someone to lead them through it and make sense of it.

The Vanguard Council wants to spearhead this transition in health care innovation by not only educating consumers, but also by creating and implementing unique tools to share with our colleagues. And there's no better tactic than by educating the masses. By no means does the Vanguard Council want to privatize our innovation—they want to share it and create solutions that are nothing less than a win-win for all.

Without innovation, there's no future. The Vanguard Council wants to ensure the future is open to innovation, and positioned for the change that will make a difference. If we keep doing things the same way, the system will collapse.

The industry was becoming stagnant and slow to respond to the changes that need to happen, and the Vanguard Council founders weren't happy with this. I joined the Vanguard Council because I didn't want to coach from the sidelines. I like to listen first to the needs of the consumers and help create solutions that meet the needs based on what I've heard. I believe there's confusion in the marketplace, and I want to help people my own age navigate the health care system and be successful.

Consumers need to understand reform and how it affects them. I feel reform has opened up health care to the younger population, and the'll benefit from someone they can relate to, to help them navigate that change. The principles of the Vanguard Council are what drive me, and it's what this industry needs. Solutions need to be out-of-the-box and able to meet many different needs from the consumer.

There can be no one-size-fits-all solution.
