Now, from April through May, is one of the best times to visit Denver – named the "Mile High City," as its official elevation is one mile (or 5,280 feet) above sea level – as the city's shoulder seasons are characterized by comfortable temperatures, fewer tourists and lower accommodation prices than the summer high season.
