Aetna, Cigna, Elevance and UnitedHealth back new prior authorization standards push

Big insurers say the new standards will apply to many services by Jan. 1, 2027.
Cigna predicts it will use the standards for 70% of its reviews.
UnitedHealthcare says it already uses the standards for more than half of its reviews.
