During her 12+ years at Humana, Dr. Colon has led Medicare HMO and PPO operations across multiple states, focusing on cost-effective healthcare strategies, improved member outcomes, and operational excellence. She is recognized for aligning clinical innovation with business strategy to deliver sustainable, member-centered results.

Prior to Humana, she practiced inpatient and outpatient medicine, provided HIV care in Fort Lauderdale, and served as Medical Director for a global nonprofit healthcare center, also contributing to HIV clinical research as a principal investigator
