House committee votes 34-0 to back facility-fee code bill

A top Republican and a top Democrat joined to introduce the Transparency in Billing Act bill.
The bill would require hospitals to use separate identifiers to services delivered inside and outside hospital-level facilities.
The goal is to keep hospitals from adding hospital facility fees to bills for outpatient care.
