California's high court sided with doctors in ruling that health care plans can be sued for negligence if they pass financial risk to RBOs that they know are in danger of becoming insolvent.
An appeals court says a whistleblower has made a strong case that major insurers like UnitedHealthcare, HealthCare Partners, and Aetna violated the False Claims Act by skewing their Medicare reporting to draw bigger government payments.
