Faizal Mitha is Chief Sales and Innovation Officer for global insurance brokerage Hub International’s Employee Benefits and Retirement Savings division in Canada. In this role, he leads a talented team across Canada reimagining the traditional employee benefits experience. Faizal began his career as an underwriter with two of Canada’s largest insurers before moving into benefits consulting and leading the practice at ES3 Advisory which was acquired by Hub for their advanced capabilities in digital, employee health and the proven ability to engage younger demographics in the benefits conversation. Faizal is also a tech entrepreneur. He founded one of Canada’s fastest growing insuretech companies, utilizing artificial intelligence and big data sets to make better insurance decisions and to provide on-demand benchmarking for benefit plan designs and costs. Faizal’s dedication extends to his community and education. He co-founded a number of community organizations for young professionals and currently mentors young entrepreneurs as an Entrepreneur in Residence at a well known tech incubator in Calgary. He is a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and an executive MBA from Simon Fraser University.
